Who can attend Book Club discussions?
EVERYONE is welcome to participate in our CS/PTSA Book Club discussions – parents, students, teachers, staff, family members.

What do we do in Book Club?
We read a selected book (in advance) and then meet to discuss the book and any related topics that spring up!
Or… haven’t read the book yet?
That’s okay, join in our lively discussion and leave with a copy to enjoy reading later!

There is no formal membership, no commitment, no “work” involved - instead just join us for lively discussion as we swap ideas and support one another through these teen years.

  * There are a limited number of copies of the book which can be borrowed from Monta Vista School.
Books are available to borrow NOW; visit the front office at school to check one out.*

March 13, 2014

We had a delightful book club meeting discussing 'Get Out of My Life, but first could you take me and Cheryl to the mall?' by Anthony E. Wolf Thanks to all of you who joined in our discussion.

For those of you not in attendance, among other things we talked about the importance of developing resiliency in our kids; I got the impression that we all get lots of practice modeling resiliency, along with perseverance and patience, in parenting our children every day.

An extra thank-you to our special guests, MVHS administrators April Scott and Leslie Robledo, for joining in our first ever Challenge Success Book Club meeting.
