Funding
PTSA grants are available to to enhance the social, emotional, and academic experience of Monta Vista students.

Any Monta Vista staff member or student who would like to address a need that will improve the overall educational and developmentally appropriate climate of Monta Vista School may submit a PTSA Funding Request.
PTSA Grants Awarded
  • 10 Texas Instruments CBR2 Motion Sensors for Applications Advanced Mathematics classes and Algebra 1 & Algebra 2 class
  • TI-84 graphing calculators for Algebra 2/Trig classes
  • 24 copies of “The Wind in My Hair” for 10th grade English classes
  • Copies of “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” by Douglas Adams for senior British Literature classes
  • iPad for football games and wrestling matches
  • Handballs and new equipment for cricket unit for all grade levels
  • Goals for soccer and team handball for all PE9 classes
  • Whiteboards for Journalism classes
  • Markers and erasers for small whiteboards and poster boards for Chinese 2 and Chinese 4 Honor classes
  • 26 copies of “Picture Us in the Light” by Kelly Loy for 9th grade English classes
  • An external DVD drive for AVID students
  • Books for a “Lending Library” at school psychologist’s office for all parents and students
  • Part of but rental for college tour trip for AVID students​
  • Bus transportation cost for college tour trip for AVID students
  • Activity materials for Chinese 2 & Chinese 4 Honor classes
  • Color printer, die cut machine, and coffee machine for ACT students
  • Laminated posters for APUSH classes
  • Jazz club for American Studies classes
  • 40 Scientific calculators for Algebra2/Trig & Math Analysis classes
  • “Wellness” themed prizes for “Terrific Tuesday” & “Wellness Wednesday” for five Chemistry classes
  • Small dry erase whiteboards for Physics classes
  • Audiobook copies for Contemporary Literature classes.​
