LIFE SKILLS 101
Do what you Need, so you can Do what you Want

Mission: To educate the whole student by supporting their development of life skills

Monday, June 8 - Thursday, June 11

PLAN: 
  • 100 kids maximum
  • 5 classes 
  • 20 students per class
  • 2-3 adults per class

Student Courses: 9:30-12:45

Parent Talk: 9:30-10:30 (parents will be invited to listen to an expert on the topic, and offered specific ways in which they can support the growth of this life skill in the home.

COURSES         
Each course will include a volunteer who is an experienced, professional on the subject, a Monta Vista staff member, and a college student.

Agenda

MONDAY:           Health
College diet, simple dorm room exercise, recognizing, handling, releasing stress, maintaining relationships    

TUESDAY:         Finance
Credit history, college debt, basic financial operations, good saving habits, spending addictions

WEDNESDAY:   Safety
 First aid, law, self-diagnosis, sex education

THURSDAY:     Communication
First impression, online reputation, interview skills, professional etiquette

We will end Thursday with a  free lunch and closing observance for the students.
