Positive Family, Successful Children - Application of Positive Psychology in Nurturing Teens
Julie Xie is a frequent speaker on family education and positive psychology. Positive Psychology is the scientific study of the strengths that enable individuals and communities to thrive. In this presentation, she shares deep insights regarding the role of positive psychology in nurturing today’s teens:
  • How to help our teens strengthen their self-motivation?
  • Why do they tend to play more video games before and after major tests?
  • How to communicate with teens so they’ll be more willing to listen?
  • How to listen so our teens will communicate with us more?
Join us to find out the critical factors behind self-control, resilience, optimism, perseverance, etc. so we could better support their preparation for the adulthood.
G. Julie Xie, Ph.D., is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and School Psychology of Fremont Unified School District. She is also adjunct faculty of Sofia University. She is the author of “Being a School Psychologist in America” (2016).
