Monta Vista High School is inviting 12–15 students and 12–15 parents/guardians to participate in a comprehensive WASC Self-Study process. The opportunity is to participate with students, parents/guardians, and staff in a comprehensive WASC Self-Study.
If you are a big picture thinker, are interested in learning more about MV, are interested in helping shape the next 6-year roadmap here at MV that includes MV WASC or School Goals, and you can attend our meeting dates/times, please see the below form for more information and consider completing the form to express your interest by the end of the day on Monday, August 31. Celebrating Our Staff: A Wonderful Start to 2026–27
Our Welcome Back Breakfast was a wonderful success, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from our MV staff! This special morning was made possible by the thoughtful planning of our Hospitality Chairs, the dedication and hard work of our many volunteers, and the generous support of our parents and community members. Most importantly, we hope the breakfast helped every staff member feel the warmth of the MV community and know how deeply we appreciate all that they do. Theme: "What My Culture Means to Me!" The 2026–2027 PTA Reflections Art Program invites students to explore this year's inspiring theme: "What My Culture Means to Me!" Since 1969, the National PTA Reflections program has inspired more than 10 million students to express themselves through the arts, while highlighting the importance of arts education in our schools and communities. Students of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate by creating original works of art that reflect this year's theme. Through Reflections, students can:

Staff Appreciation Lunch a Great Success
On May 8th, MVPTSA successfully hosted the Staff Appreciation Lunch. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all volunteers whose dedication and hard work made this event possible—from the thoughtful arrangement of floral centerpieces to the careful maintenance of a clean, welcoming, and comfortable dining environment. The diverse and well-prepared selection of dishes was warmly received by our staff and faculty, who shared highly positive feedback. This event reflects the strong spirit of collaboration within our school community. We warmly encourage more families to get involved with PTSA and join us in continuing to support, appreciate, and enrich our school community together. 
2026 Senior All Night Party: A Memorable Celebration
The 2026 Senior All Night Party was a tremendous success, providing our graduates with a fun, safe, and memorable way to celebrate this important milestone. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the many volunteers whose dedication, time, and hard work made this event possible. We would especially like to recognize and thank our Senior All Night Party Committee Chairs for their outstanding leadership, countless hours of planning, and unwavering commitment throughout the year. All volunteers' efforts were instrumental in creating a truly special experience for our seniors. Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We wish all of our graduates success, happiness, and fulfillment as they embark on the next chapter of their journey.
2025-2026 Principal’s Coffee #1MVHS hosted the first Principal’s Coffee of the school year, and it was a wonderful success! Parents gathered for an engaging one-hour session sponsored by MVPTSA, where the Principal and school staff (School Principal, Assistant Principals, School Counselors, College & Career Advisor, Wellness Specialist, School Based Therapists, School Psychologists, and Speech Language Pathologist) shared school updates and answered questions on topics important to our community. This long-standing tradition continues to foster open communication and build strong connections among parents, staff, and school leadership. We appreciate all who attended and look forward to more meaningful conversations throughout the year.

Welcome to a new school year! I am honored to serve as the President of the MVPTSA and look forward to working alongside our dedicated parents, teachers, staff, and students to make this a rewarding and memorable year for our school community. High school is an exciting time filled with growth, new opportunities, and important milestones—not only for our students, but for parents as well. While our teenagers are becoming more independent, they still benefit greatly from our support, encouragement, and presence. At the same time, parents also benefit from having a strong community where they can connect, share experiences, and support one another. Throughout the year, the MVPTSA will host a variety of events, student-to-student help sessions, volunteer opportunities, fun family events and programs that bring our community together. I encourage you to become a PTSA member and join us in supporting our students, teachers, and school community. Your participation—whether through volunteering, attending events, sharing ideas, or making a donation—helps create meaningful experiences for all MV families.
