SAT Preparation Classes
What are SATs and PSATs?
The Scholastic Assessments Test (SAT) is a college admissions test. PSAT is a practice test for SAT. Generally, 10th and 11th graders take the PSAT in preparation for the SAT. The PSAT also determines who receives National Merit Scholarships. Generally, 11th graders take the SAT that colleges use for admissions. These classes are NOW available to 9th graders. See more about the SATs… How to prepare for PSAT/SAT? MV PTSA offers these classes on the Monta Vista campus to help students prepare for the NEW PSAT and SAT tests. Students/families benefit from the convenience of these classes that are taught after school by our very own MV Math and English teachers. It is the best deal in town, costing significantly less than commercial prep programs. Mr. Jeff Payne (Math) and Mr. Scott Perry (English), both MVHS faculty, will be teaching the classes. Class fee also includes an SAT or PSAT textbook used for the course. |
